Our Golf Tournament at the new Bowen Island Golf Course this past Thursday was fantastic. With everyone heading down in to the 'Cove' for the morning registration, a bite of breakfast at Doc's and some words from me and Bruce, everyone eventually headed out to the course for the noon shotgun start.

15 teams saw the official 'course' record set under the Texas Scramble format at 8 under par. The course is beautiful and received rave reviews from everyone that day.

After golf, we headed for dinner and an auction at the CNIB Lodge By the Sea where my buddy, Victoria Fawkes was waiting. Victoria said a few words about her experiences at Camp Goodtimes and how much fun Camp has been for her. The rest of the evening was spent auctioning off wonderful prizes donated by local businesses and artists.

We're still tallying the final numbers, I'll be certain to let everyone know how much Bowen Island raised for Cops for Cancer this year.

The Tour de Coast is only a week away and I'm getting excited to climb in to the saddle and start pedalling. We'll be making a stopover on Bowen on the 29th of September, riding off the 10:30 ferry. If you're anywhere near the cove, come on down and cheer our team of riders up the hill to BICS!

Thank you for your continued support ,
